Unfair Advantages

The reason many independent and small parties lose at an election are the unfair advantages.
TEAMS
The large parties like Labour, Conservatives, Reform and alike have media connections, ongoing advertising, are on the news all the time and have had ages to build up a membership based.
So they are already known and have teams in place ready to jump into action.
FINANCES
A candidate can spend upto £180k in their campaign, a huge sum of money and something well beyond the reach of most, if not all, independents. So the bigger wallet can win…
This feels wrong, why would anyone spend £180k for a job paying half of that?
This clearly creates an unfair playing field.
SOLUTIONS
Set a lower limit and for independents that show they are serious candidate, give the a government grant to even the playing field.
