Why Vote for Martyn?
A normal hard-working Dad, with family in Clacton. I have the same challenges and struggles that most of us face. Finding work, paying ever-increasing bills, caring for family and getting fed up with mainstream politicians who simply do not understand real life.
- Fully Independent – No party politics controlling my vote.
- Self-funded – No billionaires to answer to or repay somehow.
- A Normal Guy – Living the same challenges as everyone else.
- Family and Community Focused.
- I have been a carer for disabled people.
- I have advocated for and helped elderly and disabled people.
- Real local connections, as many of my family live here.

With 34 Candidates – Who Will You Vote For?
When Martyn chose to run in this election, it was to give the people of Clacton a chance to vote for someone that would commit to working on the real issues in Clacton and to support the people and communities. With most of his family in Clacton, he understands the issues faced and will be available weekly to meet at MP surgeries which will be held at various locations across Clacton to ensure everyone is able to meet him when they need support.
Many of the other candidates have no connection with Clacton, some have not even visited before this election. How can they understand the challenges of a sea side town, of a large elderly population, of youth unemployment or the transport issues that many speak about.

We will focus on LOCAL issues
Transport is the most commonly raised issue. People would like more buses and improved routes. We also were told about bin collections, elderly case, isolation and loneliness, youth unemployment, support for the homeless, drug rehab needs and social housing shortages.

What a load of rubbish
We get it, let’s stick it to old Nigel by making him lose to a Bin. Its a perfect protest vote, but it wont solve genuine local issues , even if he does move the hand dryer at the pub. He has stood in multiple elections, including against Andy as he is not interested in Clacton or its real issues.

Nigel – £5 Million Gift and 12+ Jobs
We love success, but seriously, how can Nigel represent Clacton and solve local issues while he juggles 12 jobs and pockets a questionable “gift” Nigel has held ZERO surgeries to meet local people since being elected and help them with their issues. He has failed to represent Clacton.
Let’s Focus On Local Issues
Local issues are overlooked and ignored. Many politicians speak about immigration and headline news but fail to listen to the people of their constituency. I will focus more on issues that affect our community and families daily.Local Issues and Policies
We must focus on local issues that affect us everyday and work on regeneration projects.
Stop The Boat Crossings
France already provides accommodation and support to people who claim asylum there. The problem is that people can leave a safe country, cross the Channel and enter the UK asylum system instead. As Clacton’s MP, I would push for a firm returns agreement so those arriving from France can be sent back quickly. Britain should protect genuine refugees, but the system must not reward dangerous illegal crossings or be used by economic migrants that game the system.Immigration
End Illegal Immigration and Reduce Immigration Overall by challenging government policies and actions.

Elderly Care and Ending Isolation
We have a large elderly population that suffer with mobility challenges, transport issues, difficulties accessing health services and sadly many live in isolation.
We are aware of these issues as we speak with the community and Martyns work with Mobility UK brings him into contact with elderly and disabled people who have mobility issies.
With support and funding, we aim to set up group activities to reduce loneliness, organise home visits for those living alone in isolation and set up a support line for those struggling with depression and loneliness.
